Jodie is the colloquial name I give to a particular brand of new user who has no intention of learning beyond being coached step-by-step by responses to a self post.

The DarkNet can be a very dangerous place for the uninitiated so I see nothing wrong with a newbie wanting step-by-step instructions for navigation.

no intention of learning beyond being coached step-by-step by responses to a self post

What you missed in the tongue in cheek but brutally honest assessment above is the part of "no intention of learning beyond" portion of text. If a noob is only getting advice via step by step in self posts and not doing any type of further research, said noob most likely will become low hanging fruit and phished big time.

There is nothing wrong with helping a noob navigate the "dangerous place" that is the darknet. But when it is an obviously lazy person, it just gets old. These are the same people that refuse to use the search feature on sites or even google.

But when it is an obviously lazy person, it just gets old. These are the same people that refuse to use the search feature on sites or even google.

Their inquiries seem old to you because you're not interested in what they still have to learn. And Google and forum searches aren't always the best for securely navigating DarkNet because they'll end up with old or inconsistent info. Better to get the latest from current forum posters, where any inconsistent advice can be discussed.

With new members constantly entering the Darknet world, we need to be patient with newbies.

Nah if they lack the persistence and patience to learn on their own by reading and observing before asking every simple question possible, they're just wasting our time. I was able to find up to date correct info on my own when I was learning. If they can't even discern between reliable and garbage sources or compare information between good sources, they don't belong on the dark net.

I'm going to agree with you. I was a noob myself not too long ago and I studied up for weeks after identifying reliable sources. Then I lurked anywhere people talked and I learned. Have had zero issues. I'm sure many of you have been around longer than I. But even I'm annoyed at lazy little shits. I had a guy PMing me on Reddit yesterday asking where to finding carding shit and when I didn't help I got a sob story novella about all the times he got scammed. Ridiculous man.

I forgot about the PMing. Been called lots of things and dealt with the threats. Don't miss it.

We were all noobs once. "Ooh, look at me! I can type a captcha code!"

The darknet drug trade is still tiny and in its infancy, but everyone thinks it was perfect when they discovered it and everyone after them is some kind of idiot.

By trying to keep dnms secret from other drug customers we've nearly killed them. There is safety in numbers. We need more customers, more markets, more vendors and more competion.

Every cop has already heard of the darknet. We all need to introduce new users. By standing in the way of progress, we do the cops' work for them.
