I wouldn't make a post about it, but some subtle mention of it to people complaining about the current state of affairs over there seems appropriate. The key is in not being too obvious.

IMHO 10 mellow people > 100 generic /r/darknet idiots any day.

What is with the Printer Pam thing, anyway? I use the darknet subs so rarely these days that I am out of the social loop..I kinda prefer to be quiet and just do my thing, but the recent state of things brought me back to reddit, the lowest common denominator that is up. Is PP a scammer, a good fella or just a twit with enough free time to become the subject of memes and conspiracy theories?

PrinterPam is a good person, used to help people out on the noobs sub all the time. But he doesn't sugar coat anything and calls people out on their bullshit, some people don't like that. He has an account on here too.

Glad to hear. I only know that he was fairly prolific and always seemed to try to be helpful, but he gets so much shit from some people that it is difficult to sort out. I will just assume his detracters are either people who prefer candy coating, or scammers who prefer that newbies remain in the dark where they are most vulnerable.

It kinda sucks to make sweeping generalizations like that, but given the current climate, it is probably best. I am at a point where I might just pick up a lifetime supply of the one main thing I buy as soon as I can, so I don't have to deal with it at all anymore. Heck, I just looked through a price list from a certain "reptilian" lab that bulks 1P, and at the gram level, their prices are pretty comparable to the most noteworthy vendor of Aztec. Granted 1P isn't exactly the same dosage-wise, but it might be easier to arrange than waiting out this DDoS shit and getting in touch with the other people. Arguably more legal, too. "I use 300 mcg to get tough stains out of dress pants, your honor." I'd have to arrange a drop ship, but that isn't a huge deal.

Hope this post isn't violatiing rules about naming vendors or anything, please just delete or edit it if it is.I don't want to push taboo or anything.

No violation. I'll vouch for PP also. Good guy that is trying to point out the bs and be helpful at the same time. Once you've been doing the help/mod stuff long enough the patience wears thin for the trolls.

Yeah, he seems to sorta just roll with the punches, too, rather than get all bitchy and defensive. I think that is one of the hallmarks of good character. It is the people who need you to believe in them that have an agenda.

My only experience with moderating was operating a small aquisition oriented forum for green, but it was very private and there were no trolls or scammers, no BTC or phishing, no escrow and no DDoS. Vendors posted menus, users used PGP to send PMs, and used either eGold, Liberty Reserve or just CiM, Cash in Mail. My biggest challenge as admin was to remember to pay the tiny hosting bill every six months. The mods of DNM subs and admins of DNMs have to actually work hard. Screw that, I want to spend my downtime not being accountable to anyone, least of all ingrates demanding that I tell them how to buy drugs.

I loved being an admin because everything went right for years. I became good friends with two users in real life, we still vacation together. The forum is still there, I just now checked, and I bet my login still works, but we lost a lot of users over the years to legalization, and I passed the mantle to another user. Actually, I bet some people here would even remember the Canadian pot vendor we evolved from, if I said it, but opsec and all. I probably already talk too much as it is, but meh, if LE raided my house and brought dogs through, they would sure be disappointed. Still though, loose lips should only ramble so much. But there isn't a lot here on this sub yet, and making friendly conversation might help seed something cool, at least while we wait to learn the disposition of Dread, GG and everything else. I just keep checking here hoping to see "Everything is back to normal now!"

But I think we all know that that isn't going to happen.

Your old defunct forum sounds like a dream job. From what i understand, at least in the old dnm days on reddit, it could cause mild cases of ptsd.
The markets come and go, and enforcing them is a lot like zero day exploits or email spam, the enforcers are always a day or 2 behind. Back to normal is always a mild case of chaos. Not sure with the rules of saidit how we can get the message out for normality, but we will try in our own way.
