Wow, Dore managed to get the story wrong and miss the important part. Those worthless NFTs are being used as collateral to provide liquidity in the market.

It's hilarious rich people buy something stupid. It's super duper fucking scary the crypto sphere is secured by worthless assets.

    I just read that sentiment on Imgur about crypto in general. I hope that doesn't turn out true, but the silver lining is if there weren't people who hadn't already gotten into crypto the market would have less potential for growth.

    NFTs do have a really obvious use, representing video game assets. Remember how much gear in those MMORPGs used to go for, or even characters could be represented by NFTs.

    I have faith in crypto. I've been told banking is the biggest scam there is. Technology will allow us to divorce those banks eventually.
