To some degree. Yet high volumes in atomic weight will always allow divisible values in good coins, and nobody actually believes that Dogelonmusk is going to retain value, and everyone holding, is only doing so in the hopes of pumping and dumping it for BTC or XMR. So at the end of the day, no, their inherent weakness can never overcome the value of more reliable coins on the market.
As for that article, which sees crypto in general as good money and fiat as bad... I think it's over simplifying the issue a bit.
