The easiest way is coinbase.com. You can use your cc to buy a few different cryptocurrencies. It's just a simple transaction.

Thanks. It looks like it will answer my questions and a good place to get started. I’ll look into it more when I have time.

No, don't use Coinbase...they hate their customers. If your going to go that route, use Gemini instead. However, using these types of exchanges will compromise your anonymity as they will share all of your info with the Gov.

How do I stay anonymous but secure?

The best way is a bitcoin atm without kyc.

Good to know. Thanks. Maybe in a couple months.

I too would like some help. Specifically, regarding wallets. I don't update my Bitcoin often as it takes at least a week to update every singe block that's ever been transacted on since the dawn of time. Plus it takes up many gigabytes.

I need wallet recommendations.

If I were to invest I'd split it equally, and invest in Bitcoin Classic, Bitcoin Part Deux (and more), Etherium, Monero, Wownero, Piratecoin, Dogecoin, Filecoin, and maybe a couple others I've forgotten. I'd add to them on the regular if I could too. Real (not paper certificates) gold and silver would be good too.

Be careful of the corporate bankster shit like Ripple (currently doing well) and the future Facebook Libre Diem. I fear they are traps - good until they aren't.

I’m with you on the gold. I do think the bank crypto could be sketchy but honestly all currency seems sketchy at this point. That’s why I would also like to get heirloom seeds. I wanna cover my ass as much as possible.

Gold is a good large investment, but silver will be easier to barter with when times get dire. A gold ounce might get you half a year of groceries, but no one buys groceries like that - assuming they're still in business in half a year. A silver tea spoon maybe easier to trade with.

Yes, I need to get some seeds too for my unfinished basement year-round garden (still dependent on electricity).
