Thank you for the advice. I was my own lawyer for my Office of Tax Appeals hearing and I kicked the FTB's butt in court, so I know I can do the legal work myself if I have to. It was very slow go, time consuming and stressful, though, so it's not my first option. Right now, I am a one woman show, but maybe it won't look as daunting if I can find people to partner with me. that doesn't surprise me your work is well organized. something to remember is faggot judges like to look down their nose at ppl representing themselves. that's where it can help to have a lawyer working with you for free/reduced rate as long as you do all of the work and he/she just needs to review papers before filing and appear in a monkey suit in court to speak to the faggot judge.

Thank you. Yes, at this point I am talking to lawyers to figure out what the best strategy is to move forward. Like I said, a lawyer to take it on contingency is my hope, but if I can get a lawyer to do it for free/low cost if I do the legwork, that is a pretty good second option. The $300,000 quote from the first lawyer I talked to was depressing. I don't think I'd be able to raise that much money, so if I don't find an attorney in a realistic price point, I'll have to do all the legal work myself. We'll see...
