A brand new twist to the old scam of "Pay for Pay".
submitted 3 months ago by thomastheglassexpert from self.corruption
Now an interesting new twist and as of yesterday and today two x callers trying a brand new scam on me = "Personal Loan for amount and APR that look way too good to be true" and what's the new gig? Both callers inbound to me asking if I'm searching for a loan and I say yes because I actually am. Both callers promised up to 10 grand and how much do I need? I tell them 5 grand. I'm offered an APR of less than 5% and monthly repayment schedule over 3 years and they go through the usual credit questions and say "no problem at all we just need to verify your banking details so would you read over to us your used name and password please so we can verify your income and expenses". And what the FUCK OVER is that? Just hand over user name and password? So they can get into my account and Zelle out all my fucking money? I told both callers I refuse I will not give you user name and password and with that both hung up. Makes me wonder how many people actually will give up their info as they are really hard up for the cash and my wonderment is those kind of people very rarely have even 100 bucks to their name.
