We all were brought up to believe we should trust our doctors implicitly because they are somehow morally superior to the average Joe. Doctors are special. Doctors are caring, empathic people that only have our best interests at heart. That is why when we are at our most vulnerable, sick and defensless we trust our doctors. We believe all they want to do is help us so when they prescribe us medications we take them. We know if our doctors tell us to take it then it must be good for us right?
So what could be more evil than abusing that trust by prescribing people take something that has a good chance of adversely affecting their mental state and their personality. Something that makes them hostile, depressed and unstable to where they are no longer even the same person their husband or wife fell in love with. Something that destroys their marriage, permenantly scars their relationships with their children, causes them to lose their job and they never know why their life went to hell because their doctor never told them the medications they prescribed can do that. Why would anyone even realize the reason their husband or wife left them was because the slow behavioural changes that resulted in the breakdown of their marriage were caused by psychological side effects of something that had seemed so innocuous like their daily blood pressure pill?
Our doctors do this to people every fucking day and they do not care one iota.
So a couple of months ago my wife's athsma was bothering her. Her doctor prescribed Singulair which is a control medication that they prescribe asthma sufferers to take every day. After a while she felt it was making her asthma worse so I looked it up. I happened to find Singulair has been under investigation by the FDA because of a spike in suicides amongst those taking it. Can you even imagine the personal hell someone has endured when they reach that level of dispair? When they end up hating their life so much they feel suicide is their only option? Of course they had no clue it was just their asthma medicine that made them feel that way and why should they? They take it without question because they trust their doctor. That could have been my wife and her bitch of a doctor was insistant she keep taking it even after she said it was making her asthma worse. If she had continued taking it and had it affected her mental health who would even know there was such a cause? Neither she nor I would have had reason to associate mental illness with something like asthma medicine. How many millions of families have they done that to?
You might say well, maybe the doctors just don't know what all the side effects of the medications they prescribe are. Even if that were true it should be considered criminally negligent to prescribe anything that they did not thoroughly research first but the fact is these people live and breath prescription medications. That is all they do every day and they know damn well what the side effects are doing and they simply do not care.
