Hmmmm... this would add credence to the pandemic being as much a political tool as anything... create a "need" to shut down targeted economies and have complicit governments cloak themselves in concern and compassion- print loads of fiat currency to bail out shuttered businesses and a glut of suddenly unemployed people- effectively tanking the currency's value creating the need for a global reserve currency.

It's more of a quid pro quo. They want him to create problems and they will fix the problems with their money. I assume the money would go to the state, not him personally, right?

In an actual bribe, the money goes to him rather than his country.
