c o n t e x t. Do you know what causes most people to call the police for "wellness" checks? (a) Active suicide threat where the person is known AND REPORTED TO THE POLICE to have a weapon, (b) Psychiatric conditions that can (often do) result in violence (and see also weapons), (c) Drug overdose or addictions otherwise unspecified that also have a nasty tendency to result in violence (and variously taser immunity with enough meth). You can't just take a category of something, declare it wrong by default or fiat, and smugly assert universal truth. As a critic of the police I GO OUT OF MY WAY to investigate those so-called documented facts, I even listen to the police, and youtube channels by former or current police, because if you do not understand something you absolutely have no hope in hell of fixing it.

Seriously. You're ignorant as fuck on this, and that ignorance is outrageously typical. If you want to improve the world you first need to understand it. A cursory glancing understanding steeped in media lies and bias, and the media will outright make shit the fuck up about these cases, is nowhere near sufficient.

I've had several discussions with Magnora. I'm not insulting him nor am I an obnoxious conspiracy theorist nor white supremacist. In fact, I am entirely on his side, but it's precisely for the reason the police need reform that the facts ESPECIALLY matter. Otherwise the reforms undertaken will NOT have the intended beneficial effects. Sort of akin to how, under the glorious new socialist regime in Russia, crime evaporated. According to the propaganda. In reality it was terrifying. And we, if we ignore reality, will repeat those mistakes.
