Flynn is certainly not someone you want in government. He concealed dealing with and receiving money from a Russian government propaganda outfit. He attended a celebratory event in Moscow, sitting right next to Vladimir Putin, and was presented repeatedly on Russian TV.

He discussed with the Russian government efforts to overturn sanctions implemented by the US. And he lied about that, too, when questioned by authorities.

He also had an intimate relationship with a Russian women, likely a Russian agent.

He lied to get his government position and he should have been fired, at the least, or prosecuted.

He was framed by a corrupt FBI. They didn't want him cleaning up their swamp. You'll notice every time they defend themselves against outsiders, that outsider is always tarred as an evil Russian agent. It's their MO.
