Wasn't she the daughter of the Kuwaiti Ambassador? Anyway, the technique of creating stories showing your enemies to be (baby killers) goes back beyond the Romans and Greeks

Good call.

It was later revealed that Nayirah was in fact the daughter of Saud Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States. Her testimony, which was regarded as credible at the time, is now regarded as lying wartime atrocity propaganda.

I heard this testimony on UnwelcomedGuest.net, which is /s/Robin's podcast.
He points out that the facilitator at the hearing was probably not buying into this sob story.

It's amazing how the two women (lil Greta and Nariyah) act more or less the same way—all emotion with no facts but lots of outright lies: how could you/they do this? At the time Nayirah made the speech, it was reported everywhere but when it became obvious that the story was a lie, it got almost no coverage. Thanks Tom.
