A lot of people are skeptical about the people running the medical industry so this is a good historical record of how the people running things used their influence for evil.

The article talks about the way a painkiller mass addiction/epidemic was created by the people of the medical industry, despite the fact that there were medics fighting back claiming the high doses given to patients weren't safe and the supposed studies lacked scientific evidence.
