Well he definitely is now.

I think he created it, and once it got a certain size he got approached by people who offered to make him a billionaire.

That's how these projects usually go, they don't start them from scratch. They just co-opt the people who are on the obvious rise.

A lot of the funding for Facebook came from the CIA. I have a link with that info in my big "The CIA controls the media" post.
