I wonder how differently the USSR would have fared if nearly the entire world had not tried to destroy them from the moment they came to be? If capitalism has nothing to worry about from such a "laughable" system as communism, why are they so terrified of it?

I believe Capitalism and Communism are both viable economic systems as long as there is a solid system of checks and balances in place. But no system is immune to corruption and greed.
