From reading the article (didn't watch the video), I'm inferring that the Times obtained the footage from MGM. That seems a bit weird, I would assume it would be a general press release after law enforcement was finished with it.

Also, from what I've read, it's missing a lot of time stamps. Being as that he was a regular at the hotel, the videos could be a mix of his different stays there.

I watched most of the video. Many of the trips with luggage appear to be the same luggage and without timestamps, it's easy to make it appear that he spent a short period of time loading up his room with luggage. There's not enough fact in the article's video scenario to be believable.
