Thanks Tom. I've been pretty sure about Snowden for a long time but was not so sure about Assange. The article says a lot about Snowden but relatively little about Assange. Why did JA spend all that time in the Ecuadorian Embassy if he was a limited hangout? Well, maybe he was left to twist in the wind by the intelligence agencies he was working for. Did they double-cross him? If so, I doubt they have any remorse.

JA continued to publish, and dug himself a hole.

He had significant support for some time... But then the banks and credit cards sanctioned him (made him crypto wealthy).

He could have been an agent all along. Possibly planted to help identify and neutralize Truthers.

I'm making this last part up, but crazier things have happened. How often was history inaccurately recorded...?

If US intel had wanted him dead years ago, they would have found a way for sure. And as SwordofDamocles pointed out, how do we know that JA was really in that room except when Pam Anderson visited him? She's not really my type but that would be a visit I'd be excited about.

We don't. I'm also suspicious.

definatly an agent, his job was to gatekeep any whistleblowers and leak already known info against isreals enemies. the fact he was a media darling should be proof enough. also whistleblowing is a thing of the past now. no one would dare. set up a whistleblower drop box and see what happens... if you dare. ( don't do it ). look at esther ranzin and childline... so obvious now with hindsight.
