Those are the lens effect projecting small images onto a surface. If you put a pinhole through a piece of paper you'll see one image. If you look at a surface that has multiple openings letting sunlight thorugh, you see multiple images. As the eclipse progresses, you can safely watch it this way.

ok i googles that, and there is no info how or why that would be.... how would that work?
