Yes, they were not Zionists. It's odd. You can mention Zionists all you want here, but once you mention a Bolshevik Jew, people swoop in full force to compare other peoples, Nations and religions. Stalin did later on purge the Bolsheviks and the comintern as he thought it would destabilze the nation. Many Bolsheviks wanted world revolution, Stalin advocated for rearmament and planning to conquer. He was much more rash in his strategy initially.

Read: thought it'd lose him power. Lenin's Last Will and Testament (which, like virtually everything affected by Stalin's revisionist approach to history, is of questionable authenticity) advocated for removing Stalin from his position and appointing Trotsky as his successor.

In the end, Trotsky was exiled from the entire country, Stalin came into power and killed or banished everyone else, and then Trotsky was stabbed in the head with an icepick.


(To answer your titular question: no, it's not anti-Semitic, but it encourages such behaviours in others. You're not to blame for that, but depending on your priorities it might be wise not to make such statements unless actually relevant to something.)
