tbh extremist conservatives are generally as bad about this as extremist liberals. Both sides are often talking past each other and it's not helpful to anyone

Well if it's at the bottom levels of the pyramid of debate, it's still not welcome. You're not allowed to go:

That's still at the bottom of the pyramid of debate. If you can't discuss stuff without slinging out angry names at everyone every other comment, especially if you're not contributing any other useful information, I don't think you'd really fit in here anyway. You'd probably enjoy a place like 4chan or voat more. This is a place people come to get away from the mud-slinging, there's plenty of other places that are taken over by people acting that way.
