The power wielded by this group over Washington is so strong that when anyone inside the beltway mentions "The Lobby", everyone knows they are referring to AIPAC. No further explanation needed.

Reviewing the history of this organization refutes the lie that "Anti-Zionism = anti-Semitism!".

Zionism is a hard core political movement that was founded in the late 1800's with the singular goal of creating a race-based Jewish political state in Palestine - a goal that was accomplished some 50 years later.

Since the founding of the Jewish State, the primary goal of Zionism has been to prop-up and support the monstrosity they created, with a special focus on gaining influence over foreign political leaders, especially in the West, and Zionists have done so with spectacular success.

Controlling Western politicians, Zionists ensure that that Israel, "their baby" will receive an endless stream of obscenely lopsided financial and military support for their racist enclave, in spite of any war crimes or other atrocities Israel might commit against neighboring countries and the non-Jewish peoples living in Israeli occupied territories. Oftentimes said support is in direct conflict with the interests of the citizens of the contributing countries.

Each year AIPAC annual conference is packed with US politicians hoping to win favor with the Zionists to further their own political aspirations, and this year, the keynote speaker will be Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

From the Jewish Telegraphic Agency:

Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with Donald Trump 2 weeks before Israel’s election

Interesting quote:

The two leaders “will discuss their countries’ shared interests and actions in the Middle East during a working meeting” on the 25th and will have dinner the next day, according to an announcement from the White House Press Office.

In the past, American presidents have been reticent to meet with Israeli leaders close to elections for fear of implicitly influencing the vote. In addition, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is currently visiting Israel.

I find that last paragraph rather disconcerting.
