This is turning into an interesting period of transition.

Yes indeed.

Saw the video. Masked guy brings up a suppressed pistol. Takes a 7-yard shot. Guy stumbles when shot at chest. He cycles the pistol and shoots again. Guy falls down. He cycles and shoots 2-3 times to finish the job.

Manually cycling a suppressed handgun makes me think its a well-calculated assassination with a very specific handgun. Maybe it was handloaded with subsonic rounds so it had to be manually cycled.

It is 100% not cycling because of subsonic rounds. The gun could have been modified with softer springs to make it cycle with lower chamber pressure. Deffinitely not professional.

The most impressive thing about this is knowing where and when the target will be.

Doesn't seem professional to me either. Guy is using a bicycle from one of those rent a bike companies with a transponder on it as well. Sloppy. Easier to track.

My guess is either disgruntled customer or employee. Clearly targeted. Agreed knowing where the target will be is the most difficult aspect of this. Makes me think it is more likely to be an employee.

Yeah, someone who knew him probably hired a crack addict to kill him. Maybe his wife of his girlfriend. I wonder which one he was going to meet.

Looks like he just had an electric bike and not one of those rentals so not quite as sloppy as it first seemed. The fact it's on camera kind of tells me it isn't a professional job but who knows, maybe that was part of the plan. Definitely not a random act of violence.

He knew subsonics with a suppressor would make it much quieter. Professional or not, he researched how to do it the best way possible and worst case scenario he knew it would not cycle because of how natural it looked when he followed the other shots.

He was attending a conference and I believe his presence was publicized, or assumed since it was for investors.

Still, the shooter had the patience to wait him out and catch him off guard.

Professional? Who knows. That’s beyond my ken. But well planned and executed enough that he got his man and still hasn’t been identified or caught.

Maybe I've watched too many movies, but this looks like a professional hit to me.

I immediately thought of Cory Doctorow's Radicalized:

A man becomes embroiled in a dark web network targeting insurance companies after his wife's cancer coverage was declined by their health insurer

Here's a download for the ebook if anyone wants to snag it.

I bet it's Stephen King coked out of his tree again.

ACA is great isn't it? When health insurance denies coverage for something and forced the patient to declare bankruptcy. I have a friend who had diabetes and went into a diabetic coma with UnitedHealthcare not covering it, he owned 100 of thousands of dollars and had to file for bankruptcy. No wonder the CEO got shot, they don't cover things and force huge healthcare bills.

Yeah a true hero did this. If he's caught the jury needs to give him a not guilty verdict based on doing a good deed.

Keeps the Healthcare CEOs on their toes if one of them gets shot for rejecting 39% of all claims.

This is what I try to explain to people. The rich need to be afraid of being guillotined. Meaning guillotined symbolically, any method of killing them will do.

It is a revolution of sorts, the rich verses everyone else.

Might be just a black guy or illegal did it, it's nyc

NYC also has a lot of jews. They are very violent when it benefits them. You just don't hear about it because of bias in reporting. Not just in the media, but investigators selectively collect data, and groups like the FBI alter records.
