It's very hard to see or understand something when your career depends on ignoring it.

Like what, 80% of US citizens retirements depend on the stock market?

It’s a giant Ponzi scheme.

People are doing their best. They are very busy.

The stock market is a ponzi scheme yes, but I'm talking about Qortal...

I don't know what Qortal is, but beyond the stock market being a ponzi scheme, fiat currencies are also always large-scale ponzi schemes. They die in the end (as the dollar is currently dying) because regardless of scale, the same dynamic applies: when people no longer accept that they're worth anything, they revert to their true value: zero. Resources possess intrinsic value. Currencies do not.

Currencies are a convenient and practical means of exchanging resources.

Qortal is a totally decentralized internet and currency. You should look into it... qortal.org

Thanks for the tip.

It looks like an interesting project. I hope it becomes what their ideals suggest. It's so hard to shepherd a project like this through to full-scale operation without corruption leaking in somewhere and derailing it.

I like your definition of currencies, btw. Succinct and complete. If only the centralizing forces acting on humanity didn't sit as the "currency" controllers between all transactions, we might be able to get somewhere...

I'm trying to bring in a developer to speed up the transition to a mesh internet, where you will be able to connect via your neighbors' routers and they via yours, with no ISP required. Literally an entirely new Internet.

The Qortal internet already exists, but you need a normal Internet gateway to enter it for now. Currently only around 100 websites, so very much baby steps at the moment - but yes, it's totally decentralized. Nobody can take control of it.

Q: What would the new decentralized internet be in place for?
Is it:
a. for more irrelevant & irreverent forum posts
b. for more conspiracy rant posts like this one @ idle chatter
c. for accretive dialogue on usurper-free Dom

What are we really here for?
Is it to mind gate keep each other - like what OP is doing?
Or, to let self to be mind corralled to stay put in eliteDom?

Me – I am here to let everyone know: There are no gates!
Q: Which are you for: eliteDom or usurper-freeDom?

People with doctorates do see it; they find it unimportant.

This is the basis of the classic quote by Keynes: "In the long run, we're all dead."

Economists understand the temporary nature of all financial arrangements, but they cannot find a more durable construction, so they work with what they've got. They know collapse happens periodically, and they figure the best anyone can do is to dance while the music plays.

Thomas Sowell said it better.

Inflation is in effect a hidden tax. The money that people have saved is robbed of part of its purchasing power, which is quietly transferred to the government that issues new money.

Printing money to pay off failing banks actually has a massive cost everyone.

You've touched on multiple mechanisms or issues. Fractional reserve banking, Federal Reserve monetary policy, and the great reset. Which is the bigger scam, I donno. I'd like to know how muslims can even live in the west. They are supposed to transact in gold or silver only.
