I'm sure China sees the Fent epidemic as pay-back for two opium wars they fought to stop England and the US importing opium into their country. The East India Company and the aristocrats connected to it, including royals, became rich as did many East Coast liberals in the US. Opium then and Fent now, generate tremendous wealth and for China the epidemic has the added benefit of disabling a growing swath of North Americans, making their countries easy marks for takeover.

Has Fentanyl replaced Heroin in the UK as well?
