It's really impressive how nothing heals this divide. Every day I'm amazed at how a large portion of the population still denies the ever-increasing evidence.

To prove my point, I bet both sides can read my comment and think I'm talking about them.

I'd say the economic downturn, easing of COVID restrictions/ remote work and other factors (like higher fuel prices, increased stress, etc) are all likely contributors to a higher death rate now compared to the death rate since 2020. Strange how their chart doesn't pick a start date before the pandemic to establish a pre-pandemic baseline.
