Communism IS the highest form of democracy, but I never was taught USA was a democracy, so

No no, communism IS totalitarianism.

It is not communism or totalitarianism. They are the same. Communism is a subset of totalitarianism that also has the illusion of popular control. But all communism is totalitarianism. The communist party has total control of everything.

No no, communism IS totalitarianism.

No, communism is an economic ideology. Communism means a centrally planned economy, and public ownership of production, it is the antithesis of capitalism.

Left wing communists like Stalin were indeed also totalitarian, as was the right wing fascist government of Mussolini, and many monarchies as well, these are not the same thing. Communism is just one example of an ideology that tends towards totalitarianism. There are even anarcho-communists, who preach an ideology that has none of the features of totalitarianism.

In propaganda communism is a utopian ideology. In practice it is a totalitarian dictatorship.

You can not give the government total control over everything and have it fairly and equally distribute all wealth. It does not work like that in practice.

When I say communism is totalitarianism I am talking about reality, not the description communists make in their propaganda.
