Not only are people incredibly confused by the information overload present in society but it has also affected people's morals a great deal. I think for example, that a priority when it comes to dealing with the current chaos would be trying to install a decent government by getting rid of the evil people in power, but people are so confused nowadays that most aren't even trying despite wanting to resist the government in their own way.

I think this should teach us a lesson when it comes to the way values and information should influence society. I think the sacred role of philosophers is to figure out the deepest philosophical truths and share their values with society as a whole.

Good point. The collapse of agreed upon moral guideposts, initially due to child fucking by priests, has led to this.
