The original Greek text does call him Θεος as opposed to Elohiym, so using Elohiym is wrong

Only verse 18 is authentic. Θεου is a later addition, Paul doesn't say "wrath of God" anywhere else, and it is confirmed a later addition because Marcion's version of the letter is quoted without it. From 1:18 it should go on straight to 2:2, "and we know that the judgement of God is according to truth", then straight to 2:12 from there.

I am not a Marcionite. But Marcion possessed a much older collection of Paul's letters with less interpolations. It wasn't perfect either, but it was certainly better than what we have now.

You don't even have to look to Marcion to know that there's a huge insertion here. Some people have thought the whole of 1:18-2:29 was added later because the writing style and concepts are someone else's. I don't think it all was but probably most of it.
