Fascism? No. Tyranny? Yes. We NEED to be careful with incorrectly calling things Fascism, because it is a very specific kind of palingenetic tyranny, and muddying the definition makes it impossible to identify real Fascism when it crops up.

Political correctness is tyrannical, but not palingenetic.

Ok great let's call black people the N-word then. Thanks George. I was worried that wasn't the way to make a polite society until an image macro convinced me otherwise

Edit - and I tell you what. Forget about those people having their fingernails ripped out with pliers in a dark basement under Mariupol. No, the real victim of fascism today is me, when society expects me to be polite to my neighbors

Oh noes, not the N-word!

Remember the old rhyme: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but mean words and slurs are worse than torture, dismemberment and death!"

It is possible to be both genuinely concerned about the torture and killing of civilians and dismissive of snowflakes who think "words are violence".

How does Black people being terrified of hearing the word "nigger" help them in anyway.

It doesn't, it keeps them in their place.

Exactly. Me not being abusive and rude to you, isn't improving your lot materially, is it.

So there should be absolutely no social stigma against me being abusive and rude to you, because that's fascist. You not wanting to be abused or experience rudeness on the street isn't helping you in any way. So just get over not wanting to be abused or experience rudeness, because then you're inflicting fascism on people

Well there's no such thing as anyone being terrified of the word. It's just an acceptable excuse to freak out on someone.

It's actually communism, which is close enough, but still some differences. Apparently the literal term "political correctness" comes from soviet Russia when you could be factually correct but it went against the party. Not much different than how it's used today.
