Yet another piece of totally fake news media spin by moronic antivax propagandists. I'm going to show you how the content of the article has been spun by fakers like OP into a piece of antivax lying propaganda.

Let's look at the finding.

In their study, the prevalence of the South African strain among vaccinated individuals who were infected despite their inoculation was eight times higher than its prevalence in the unvaccinated infected population. Though the number of such infections among the vaccinated was relatively small, the findings indicated that this variant was far more successful in getting through vaccinated individuals’ defenses than other strains.

Here is a scenario which would satisfy this statement.

Let's say there are 100k people who are.vaccinated, and eight of them have covid. That's 0.008 % of vaccinated people getting sick, or one in 12,500 people. In our imaginary scenario, let's say that ALL of the covid-positive population have the south african strain.

And in addition to the 100k vaxxed, let's say there are 10k people who are not vaccinated because they believed manipulated headlines like this one. And out of that ten thousand, 2,000 people have covid, of which 250 have the south african strain and 1750 have other flavours which the jab strongly protects against.

In this scenario, vaccination offers you 2,500x the protection against covid than going without the jab, and still the study findings are true

the prevalence of the South African strain among vaccinated individuals who were infected despite their inoculation was eight times higher than its prevalence in the unvaccinated infected population

This is a totally manipulated headline and story by OP and anyone who believed it needs to think about how they consume information on the internet
