U.S.A. last I checked. But I'm open to evidence to the contrary.

But the parts ?

I only know VW and BMW (and another "big" one) from the inside, so to say.

And they do like this:

Assembly of the "end"-product is at least somewhat in the country, they were founded in, for most of their products. So about a half of the cars of BMW and VW that are sold all over Europe are end-assembled in Germany. Or the more law-abiding "eastern" European countries like Poland and Czech Republic e.g. .

BUT (the catch) the "more" precursor-like parts (gearboxes, engines, ac's, electronics and these-alike) are mostly assembled in countries, where they can pay their workers even less and do more tax-"magic" to fatten their shareholders even more. And to undermine anything resembling unions of course, as a side-effect. Before it even can happen, so to say.

(Hungary, Slovakia, Belarus (sic!) and Austria (because of some "special" aspects and "entanglements") e.g.).

I'm honestly really curious, if this concept also is applied by US-firearms-industry.
