On 9/10/2001 Donald Rumsfeld announced the Pentagon had $2.3 TRILLION unaccounted for. The very next day the 9/11 attacks occurred. In the rush to fund the war on terror, the investigation into the missing $2.3 TRILLION dollars was forgotten.

I remember they killed the Comanche helicopter which put a bunch of guys out of work at Sikorsky. They were actually restructuring the military when 9/11 happened. I think I recall I might be misremembering, rumsfeld was complaining about the $600 toilet seat scenario.
