This isn't exactly unique to just one faith but a widespread problem with any religious in-group with a power hierarchy. Perhaps not as organised, but it's still huge in insular groups.

Only the Catholic church conducts these "operations" at such a scale and with impunity. It is not as widespread in other religions, or even other Christian denominations, because the priests can marry and have an outlet for sex.

I don't think it's so much about having an outlet as much as it's a job that gives a good excuse not to have to marry, along with the alibi of being pious instead of a pervert.
