Are you acquainted with Plato’s Republic? He doesn’t have a good prognosis for even his ideal society.

Yeah. I differ from him in that. I'm very cynical about how modern societies have placed so much value on libertarianism. But in a more ideal regime I'm sure people would be able to achieve great things and they already have in the past.

The Jesuits themselves are a group of corrupt Neo-Platonists and they use deranged forms of his philosophy. Capitalism and Communism are derived from Plato's ideal of "Oligarchy", for example.
