Hate that I have to preface this, but this post is not to be interpreted as some racist garbage. It's intended as a very simple numbers-based question.

How many TV shows and films have sex or love scenes involving black men and white women, compared with white men with black women?

The reason I ask is because the former seems much, much more common. Now this could be absolutely off and anecdotal, and in actuality it is 'proportionate'. In any case I get the sense this possibly lopsided representation serves to alienate or stir up racism and hostility in young men. Not that it should, but I simply don't feel confident the ratio is organic.

Would there be a practical way to see these numbers sourced somehow? Obviously it would be a monumental task. And yes I'm familiar with the notion of a shadowy cabal of influential people in Hollywood and media industries. That's not what I'm getting at, nor what I want this post to devolve into.

Simply, do the numbers bear out some kind of dis-proportionality? And if so, where does that intent come from?

Once again, I understand there is some type of 'social steering' through these entertainment mediums. I gather that Hollywood isn't a far cry from the porn industry. But simply pointing to an ethnic/religious group that has undue influence in these sectors, and an assertion they hope to create social corrosion and divisiveness just doesn't look like a complete picture.

What other reasoning can be found for this circumstance, if it indeed exists? And if it exists, would it be an interesting data point to reference? Does it show malicious or intentional division, or would it just show that society is trying to accelerate the acceptance of something once considered taboo?

I don't fucking know, but I thought it'd be interesting. I'm sick of everyone feeling estranged from each other. Are we really just being divided and conquered?
