Hugo is in the UK but smart meters are rolling out in North America too. Opt out if possible.

They deployed smart meters in Texas years ago. It just means no more power company dudes doing meter readings for us. Ours are locked outside though.

Finally the whole world will be connected into a grid where everything will be monitored. Then they will find a way to connect people into that grid and it won't be a conspiracy theory anymore.
