There's a fight going on in Russia between the central bank, which wants to ban all crypto, and the finance ministry, which wants to create a crypto controlled by the Russian government and they plan would eventually become the one world currency.

Both of these ideas are bad but only one of these institutions is being targeted by co-ordinated international sanctions right now.
