Drugs like amphetamines are dangerous and need to be illegal for your protection. Unless you are an 8 year old who won't sit still in a desk for 8 hours, then amphetamines are safe and effective. If you don't get it, you aren't trusting the $cience hard enough

The biggest killer disease at the moment is obesity.

Amphetamines can cure that but they are not allowed to be prescribed for fatties because they are too dangerous.

But they are fine for badly brought up kids.
