He was way too out-spoken to be alive during this age of nonsense. He warned against his Nobel-winning invention: "Never use it for diagnosis."

He won a Nobel Prize for inventing the PCR test and many scientists in his field say the PCR test divides their science into Before PCR and After PCR. Sure he was different but brilliant, from what I understand as a layman. I do not think he was crazy or a crank but various interest groups have tried to portray him that way. After all, one man's Mead is another man's Persian.

I found it offensive towards Kary himself and kind of low effort. I don't know what you may think.

You're absolutely right that this comment is both offensive toward Kary and that it is low effort. However, these "transgressions" are not allowed to be your concern as a moderator of saidit.
