I just about always do that anyway. Carrying those things in your pocket about a millimeter away from your body is a bad idea anyway. Those things are constantly emitting in highly pulsed fashion, so the electric field intensity and RF exposure to the nearest tissue is very intense. Women carrying these things in their bras have developed cancer and it's been documented.
