Anyone who studies epidemiology predicted this, they know it, and they know why it happened.

The influenza virus has a lower R0 and cannot pass and reproduce as easily as COVID-19. Therefore the masks and social distancing used for COVID-19 also work for influenza, and work better. Influenza can't spread. So it dies out.

Guess what. It's normal for people in SE Asia to wear masks during flu season as a courtesy to others. It's cultural and it has been for many years. And they don't have nearly as many people die of influenza as the US. Weird, huh?

This type of post needs to be nuked. A fifth grader could have figured this out, but it seems beyond people who are being deliberately obtuse.

Obesity and obesity related reasons is the answer to your stupid point about Asia.

Not following. Are you saying that Asians have less influenza deaths because more Americans are obese?
