US interrogators tortured an Afghan detainee to death by hanging him by his arms for 4 days and beating his legs so badly they needed amputation. They did this despite most interrogators believing him to be "an innocent man who simply drove his taxi past the American base at the wrong time".

Well, there's been several cases of brutality involving the authorities of the government when it comes to people who could be suspects. This case calls the attention because of the sheer cruelty of it.

US interrogators tortured and killed a detainee because of he was an Afghan despite most people thinking he was just an innocent man. A lot of people in the military and other armed forces aren't confortable with the idea of corruption in their institutions, but it surely is there.

When I was living in Dubai it was about 30 min drive for me to get to factory where I was a Top Boss. On the drive I would daily see the buses full of indentured slave laborers and thought quite often = "I am not like you due to where on the planet I was born". Sucks to be born in Afghan. And a lot of other places. At moment of crises I had my exfil perfectly planned, emptied my apartment in about 1 hour and ditched my rocket car at airport and used my Dubai credit cards to finance escape back to USA. Slaves had no such means.

I'd like to hear more about the story. Why you were there, why you had to escape instead of normal travel, the conditions, pay etc. Post it I know some people have considered going there to make cash.

A Reader's Digest then not the whole book. Today I am more than 42 years of architectural glass and the largest glass co of MENA called me to be their white face and I mean that exactly. It is needed in their culture of dealing with UK and EU folks. So off I went to the shock of my life although I had studied the culture shock was... shocking. Racism I had no damn idea of. Sex a crime yet prostitutes abound. Being drunk a severe crime yet All You Can Eat and Drink Fridays at a great many pubs. Indentured slave boys to factories hopeless and helpless. Safety laws of such factories and high rise non existent. Fraud of contract endemic to goat and camel thieves pretending to do business.

So there's the scene setting. My job as Technical Geek of the large glass buildings all over UAE and MENA. Try and stop fuckups was a waste of time as sand niggers dedicated to screwup no matter what I said. I as an American was both shoved in front and then shut out of any real authority. I lived in Dubai and found that ghastly place nothing but utter fake. Garbage buildings flooding and catching on fire, structural a joke, glass breaking from building pronation, glass IGU's actually FALLING OUT of highrise framing due to bad install, the list of every wickedness and sin just does not stop.

Pay? what you would call about USD 160 grand paid on salary 1x per month and if company ran out of cash then they simply did not pay. No taxes = yes but one of the most expensive places of the entire world to live in. Tariffs abound so HH Mahktoom does not run out of money. What a wicked fuck that fellow is.

Why escape? I knew quite well of a great many stories of expat in legal or police trouble and I was down to KSA that a Brit warned me "we have your signature of approval on these technical sheets and I know damn well you did not sign these did you?" and no I had not. My signature and chop (Licensed PE Stamp) total forged. And I had a pretty good idea who did it. Brit told me "this building is funded with Royalty Funding so this document that is total lie means Royals will accuse YOU of the fraud. Taken to jail and beaten until you confess." And then taken to a Sharia Court for sentencing. I flew home to Dubai and within 1 hour vacated condo went to airport where I ditched my rocket car, and I already had in hand my total fraud/forged "exit visa" taking me on business to Qatar with return trip noted. Landed to Qatar and went to (I think it was American Air) bought ticket to USA on next flight and off I went. Local expats in some legal trouble call that a "fuck off" and yes I did. Landed NYC then transferred to Dallas then to dear brothers home in Phoenix and upon my arrival mighty fine reunion. I actually called the HR Director of my employer and told her fuck right off she was quite the Lebanese bitch and she said I'll never forget "BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE IN AMERICA YOU MUST COME BACK!!!" I had to explain I am not property and I will never come back bye.

I have never with exception of China been to a place where my screwup would result in very real jail and beatings and yes very possibly sentenced by Sharia Court. I am white, American smoking drinking Baptist and that's just about the worst it can get. My 2 years of MENA/UAE a total waste of my time at bottom pay working for camel thieves. No sex not even once. LOTS of booze though.

Thinking of maybe my best few experiences while there = it was my habit to go to one of several favorites All You Can Eat/Drink spots on a Friday and get smashed and go to car and sleep off a few hours then hit the bars again. By night-time just smashed and headed home and very difficult to get through all the round a bouts I was likely doing way over 160kph and saw something funny in front of me. A car stopped dead no lights and I hit the brakes like I had never done in my life. Skidding to halt and gave white robe car just a gentle kiss. Just tap. Got out to screaming fucking robe and he saw no damage at all yet kept screaming so I smashed him in face hard as I could and dropped him, got back in my car and found my way home. Pretty serious crimes right there. Never did get nicked.

Was asked by a friend how much was I paying in Salik that's the toll fees to drive about anywhere and I said none. Normal exec like me to pay USD equal of about 4-5-600 bucks a month and that all goes to HH Mahktoom. My mate said no fuck way you must be paying a lot and I said nope. I am highly degree'd fellow and had ordered from UK a particular spray paint that is actually a photophobic meaning flash lights and my lic plate goes white. Cannot be read by cameras. I did not like paying Mahktoom if I could avoid it.

Screaming Lebanese. He was MD of the factory and I did not know that Leb's tend to scream. A lot. He did that to me one day in front of many so I followed him to his office and we went inside and I shut door and threw deadbolt locked. Walked to behind his desk where he sat in shock that I would approach His Highness and very vicious said "if you ever scream at me again even one more time then if you wake up it will be in hospital with a very great many broken bones". His mouth about dropped to his fat belly and I walked out of office. For about another year till my fuckoff he never spoke to me again. Not once. Never even looked at me again. Had his goat fucking VP do that.

All the above pretty bad = yes and yet did I make some friends there why yes. I did. To this day still good mates. Am I glad I went to live there = yes and damn glad I left on my own terms. There ya go says thomastheglassexpert.

There's just not much more of an insult to muzzy that you are such a small dick ugly fellow that a goat is all you can fuck. Note gender of the goat is not questioned. Could be either one. With male then while fucking you do reach around. I was sitting to elegant bar in Dubai the very day Ghadaffi wound up in newspaper dead and I made a comment while reading the paper. 2 white robes sitting next to me and took great offense and I said to the effect of "WTF do you male goat fuckers think I care of what you say" and it was on. Both of them flew off stools and we went at it for about 30 seconds. Neither could hit worth a knockdown they were not very good. Bar bouncers did not come to any aid they just stood and watched. Both goat fuckers went down with bloody nose dripping down their white robe and I thought that quite excellent. So did bouncer gorillas.
