If I remember correctly (I could be wrong, and there are histories by biased historians that might say otherwise), Germans were informed by the government that the Homosexuals, Communists, enemies of the state, mentally ill, gypsies, and Jews were sent on trains to camps, until further notice. The German population may have known that some of these people were convicted of higher crimes and given the death penalty. But there was no official government document - or government-supported newspaper article - directed at the general public that admitted to the extermination or mass murder of these prisoners. I think this would have been explicitly against previous peace treaties, and it was not useful as government propaganda.

Dachau was opened in tbr early 30s and was located IN MUNICH. Germans all knew of the holocaust they're just disgusting evil people.

Yes, and here is the announcement:

On Wednesday the first concentration camp is to be opened in Dachau with an accommodation for 5000 people. 'All Communists and—where necessary—Reichsbanner and Social Democratic functionaries who endanger state security are to be concentrated here, as in the long run it is not possible to keep individual functionaries in the state prisons without overburdening these prisons, and on the other hand these people cannot be released because attempts have shown that they persist in their efforts to agitate and organize as soon as they are released.

Thus "accommodation for 5000 people" was arranged, not mass murder. By 1942, the overcrowding situation was more severe for the camps, whereby mass murders were arranged:

There's a crematorium and delousing chamber at Ellis Island. Is this evidence of mass murder at Ellis Island? Or, are these facilities exactly what you would expect to find if one was trying to minimize the spread of disease in a cramped environment?

And the gassings were atrocity propaganda just like the soccer ball, lamp shade, tiny mannequin, bear and eagle, road mixer and missile testing strapped to the backs of Jews stories.

There was persecution but the Holocaust is mostly exaggerated and a travesty. Secondly, concentration camps existed for communist Bolsheviks and other "undesirables" the state deemed dangerous to the health of the nation. The camps were set up to make/create work. Terrible, yes. Only in latter years were Jews for their "race" thrown into these camps, mostly to transfer to the east.

There was no mass extermination program. The six million figure makes little sense. Probably 1 million died due to either persecution or typhus. Terrible but the Holocaust narrative is merely a narrative for modern day Zionist propaganda, endless reparations, and hatred directed at Germans as a whole.

And it would help if there were a new commission to assess all of the numbers and records without obvious bias.

Well that can't happen. People who assess such numbers are thrown in jail or fined in many countries.

They didn't. That was Soviet and ally atrocity propaganda. There was still persecution and probably close to a million died in the camps mostly from Typhus.
