Has Anyone Figured Out Yet If and How reddit is Isolating Targetted Users From the Larger Population?

My observations are, the more you post about actual real and current conspiracies on reddit’s conspiracy sub the less responses and the more downvotes your posts get. It feels very much as though they are targetting those of us who post accurate sourced material that exposes government corruption or science that exposes the truths about covid or anything like that gets immediately downvoted to zero and very few comments. Are they really doing that manually or are our posts and comments being somehow isolated so the majority never see them or are they just using bots to keep us close to zero?

There are very few real users left on Reddit. Most of the activity is done by bot swarms.

Agreed, specifically on political stuff.

If it’s inane apolitical stuff like the weather or which sandwiches you like, not so much.

I was finally able to kick the reddit a number of years ago, so the following is just speculation.

You have to be in certain demographics to be a reddit user in current year. It seems likely that openness to wrongthink would be much lower than normal among those who haven't yet been banned, and/or can still tolerate the reddit censorship and propaganda. That could explain the lower engagement.

But it wouldn't be surprising at all if they automated the isolation of users who post prohibited thoughts and beliefs.

Well I was really only posting on the conspiracy sub because I found any of the others with large numbers of members are so heavily censored. They pretty much prevent discussion of anything outside the realm of mainstream media reporting.

So even though the conspiracy sub claims to have 1.4 million members and shows between 10,000 and 30,000 online at pretty much any time you want to check it, no matter what I posted or how well I presented the information I would see perhaps 20 comments of which a large number were troll comments and a lot of the time nothing but downvotes and how often I would see the same usernames I started to realize this cannot be organic. It is being controlled by some kind of authority that is preventing everyone from communicating openly. It makes me wonder how they do it without it being seen that we are isolated from the larger community.

Whether automated with word filters, or user reporting, wrongthinkers could be flagged so their posts are only seen by a limited number of users. Don't know if that's what they're doing, but that is one way to do it.

I still use it for apolitical stuff and it works fine. But anything approaching politics or social issues will just get you downvoted to oblivion if not banned.

I doubt Reddit cares how good your material is, all wrongthinkers are the enemy. They only bother "persuading" you to leave "voluntarily" because of the possibility of ban evasion.

don't make full posts just make comments to the threads at the top, I suppose it's bad to post off topic stuff in them but it's for the good of lurkers

On certain subs, which means subs with political content, there is a number of shills who get organized at a central level. In some cases they use discords, in other cases they use reddit chatrooms. So you see your posts and contents constantly getting a certain number of downvotes.

Keep in mind that if they downvote you all the time, they manage to get you virtually shadowbanned from specific subs or prevent you from participating at all.

no point in being on reddit.

nothing real survives.

everything lies grows.

when I left it 25%+ of the comments were being removed.

that most certainly has continued for the last 5+ years.

how can there be anyone left.. who actually thinks?
