I'm very sorry that you have been steeped in a culture of hatred. That is not true for all jews, I can attest personally.

The canaanites are descended from Adam, but are not Israelites. We commonly refer to jewish persons as jews, but only the descendants of Jacob(Israel) are the people spoken about as "jews" in the bible.

If you care to read the book: Jacob was changed to Israel after he wrestled with God in Man Form. His descendants are real jews according to the old testament. Canaanites are not the same.
