So, why would a gigabillionaire be buying up so much farmland????

Is he trying to drive up the price of family farms post covid??

Most of our billionaires are actually poorer than the millionaires of the 1920s in terms of physical assets. They mostly own imaginary assets such as shares which can up and down in value at any time. Gates is just trying to turn his imaginary fortune into real stuff which will keep a more consistent value over time.

What's actually surprising is that more billionaires aren't doing this. For instance twitter lost $3.5 billion in value over just the last week. The fact is most billionaires can't take more of their money out because people would work out these companies are over valued quite quickly and they'd lose most of their wealth.

That makes a lot more sense of why Bill would do that. Thx for the good writeup. Maybe he knows MS will be antitrusted so hes trying to sell out of those stocks too? We can wish, crash the shit, who cares.

He owns 242,000 acres of farmland, according to the report this video is based on. The 2nd largest holder has about 200,000 acres, for reference.

While that is a lot of land, he's one of the richest men in the world, and there are around 900,000,000 acres of farmland in the United States. I don't think his 0.027% ownership is the terrifying scenario you think it is.

Any food grown on his farm land is subject to blue screens of death. it should be on a label so we can avoid eating it.
