Yes, it would seem that this is the kind of argument used in countries like Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Malaysia, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey, where citizenship is determined with the help of Ethno-nationalist arguments in the law (re. one's origins in a given country). In some parts of the US before WWI and WWII, Germans could not marry the Irish, or the Italians could not mary the Portuguese, and other ethnic restrictions were required. Jews aren't supposed to marry Goyim. There will always be ethnic preferences, though I wonder about the problems with politicizing this, for the sake of ethno-nationalism. According to research with dog breeds, and inbred human communities, marying outside of one's breed or family or ethnicity produces much stronger, smarter, and in some cases, more attractive offspring. See for example the typical Brazilian, who is often some combination of German, Japanese, Spanish, African, and Native American. Really aattractive people. But I digress. Thanks for the response.

I doubt Brazil is an example of smarter population, judging from the conditions a large part of the population lives under. As for the countries you mentioned, I also doubt you have an actual image of what is going on there.

I am merely trying to appreciate /u/jet199's point, while also offering arguments against ideas about ethno-nationalism. The countries I mention are listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_nationalism . I certainly don't agree with ethnonationalists, or the idea that the intermixing of people would make "one mid-brown group of people." If you have an alternative argument to arguments in this thread, feel free to mention it. Regarding Brazil, one can to consider socio-economic conditions, and not make colonial assumptions about mixed race and intelligence.

Some of the countries mentioned in that list also give nationality rights to thousands, if not millions of illegal immigrants. So it's not a black or white situation. Going back to Brazil, semi-isolated ethnic communities appear to fare better.
