Because some idiots believe now there's a vaccine that they just have to force everyone to stay inside until everyone is vaccinated an no one will die. Come up with a scary new strain and scare everyone back inside to save lives, they think. Of course people are going to keep dying, just as thousands die of the flu every year along side the flu vaccination scheme, you can only lessen the deaths not ever be completely safe and you need to learn to live with that.

    I actually am not that scared of it in general. Much like covid itself some people are at much higher risk than others. I'm lucky that I'm not allergic to anything and that's the big risk it seems. However I will be refusing it as I'm planning to have a kid in in the next year or so and that's a big unknown with it.
