I think reflection is an important aspect to analyze the problems of society. I think a lot of us might appreciate this quote from Pascal talking about such issues.

Pascal thought that a lot of the problems that society faces come from not reflecting about things enough out of a fear of loneliness.

He couldn't leave himself alone.

He was caught in the act by practically everyone he knew.

This created a deep sense of resentment in his heart, and he hated the world because of this.
