This guys story about being a prisoner in "the troubled-teen industry" should be read by everyone. It's a bitter dose of reality but is very well done and you'll know more about a powerful industry which only still gets away with corruption on this level because so many people don't know about it.

People who feel bad about this have no concept of how fucked up "troubled teens" can be. They imagine this is done for no reason. That just isn't the case.

parents drop their kids off at juvienille centers all the time just because the kid wont sumbit to them like a dog and they are terrible parents

Well you said they imagine it is done for no reason and that isn't case. well they do do it for no reason other than they suck at being a parent. sure some kids might be some crazy physco chucky murder child that needs to be restrained in a detention center but I think that's pretty rare.

Why do you think it is rare? Why do you think it is common for people to literally have their kids locked up because they are just bad parents? Why do you imagine that anyone would be able to just drop their kids off like that? Do you really think that there is zero oversight? That there doesn't need to be any evidence that these kids need this kind of intervention? That there are no other adults in their lives besides their parents? That if these kids were really innocent and being abused by the system that there would be no recourse?

So much insanity would need to be true for your simple claim, and that is what you don't seem to understand.

Literally no one ever said this kid didn't do some fucked up shit. YOU made that up. Why?
